Soooo, thats basically what the guys over at nintendo are saying. And good for them. They have a hit on their hands with the Wii.... DERKA DERKA, look I can say the obvious. But seriously, when CNN goes so far as to quote you as follows,
Sales of Nintendo's quirky Wii video game machine could top the legendary PlayStation 2, making it the biggest hit in the industry's history, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata said on Thursday.
Well thanks for playing the game everyone, Nintendo has something to really brag about for the first time in 10 years, and they think they are the greatest of all time. Maybe not so much. To be fair the PS2 had mass appeal and a fantastic price point. One thing I think the Wii has to deal with that the PS2 never did, is as this, competition. In the gaming experience as a whole, the PS2 had very little competition, the Xbox and Gamecube were lacking in many ways, and the PS2 also pushed DVD into alot of home.
But thats not the point of this story, the point of all this is that fact that the NINTENDO president thinks that NINTENDO is doing great. And they are. Goody.
